Nick's Take on it All
Collections can be a source of pride and enjoyment. It is our connection with the past and the sport we love so much. It can be a great pastime for all ages but most important is the lasting relationships built among family members. I really enjoy watching families come in our store, looking for their favorite players or trying to complete sets. Fathers and mothers talking about their heroes when they were young, wishing their parents hadn't thrown their cards away, and listening to their children talk about the current players they like to collect. Their heros of today will be the legends of tomorrow. We live in a time when families are becoming disconnected with each other due in part to the enormous amounts of information we must deal with and all the distractions that keep us from enjoying quality time with each other, collecting cards can bridge that gap. We have watched children learn how to read because of the price guides and overcome their shyness as they show with pride their favorite player they just pulled out of pack. If you hang out in our store long enough you will notice a particular quality in the children that collect cards, A quality that reflects a desire to learn, politeness, and kindness. In short, baseball card collecting can be a family experience that is fun for everyone."
